In ancient Egypt, a magnificent city sat beside the River Nile. Home to the pharaohs, the city of Luxor was one of the
wonders of the ancient world. Today that same magnificence lives on at the new Luxor Las Vegas. Where your balcony is inside
and so are the keys to sights unseen and pleasures yet untouched.
Where your walls are slanted and elevators move at a 39 degree angle. So come to this place full of flavor and charm
- this resort destination unmatched the world over.
Welcome to Luxor, a world of enchantment.
We have crowned the top with the world's brightest beam of light. It is our symbol of difference, of things new and unique.
Our beacon in the night is for people like you who seek thrills and good times. It pierces the skies. It
reaches your mind. It beckons you closer. Adventure is inside.Luxor Las Vegas recently completed the first phase of its
$300 million expansion. Two stepped pyramid-shaped towers, located between Luxor and Excalibur, added 1,950 guest rooms to
the existing 2,526-room megaresort
including an additional 237 suites. These new suites range from 490 square feet for a Parlor Suite to 4,800 square feet
for a Penthouse Suite. The deluxe rooms in the towers have both a shower and bath tub in the bathroom, a blow dryer, two phones
and a 25-inch television.
A moving walkway, located between the East and West towers, will transport guests to and from Excalibur.
Also new to Luxor is a full service meeting and convention facility. The 20,000 square feet of function space is located
on the casino level of the West Tower.
Luxor has substantially redesigned portions of the interior as well. The registration desk, as well as VIP check-in,
was moved to the front of the hotel.
The new registration desk has 33 windows, including VIP and disabled check-in. A new Tour and Travel check-in area with
bus parking is located at the entrance closest to Excalibur.
A new theater will arrive at Luxor in Fall 1997. The Egyptian themed Luxor Theater will offer 1,200 theater-style seats
for our new production show entitled "Imagine...A Theatrical Odyssey," created by Dick and Lynne Foster.
The showroom will have a stage with a fifty-foot-wide proscenium, two satellite stages, and state of the art lighting
and sound. The theater will be built on the Southwest corner of the pyramid and will connect to the main casino by a dramatic
foyer.
New restaurants are also on the way - like Belzoni's Italian Café and the Luxor Steakhouse.
The new retail mall, Giza Galleria, will add approximately eighteen shopping outlets.
The new and improved 12,000 square foot Oasis Spa is now open and features twenty treatment rooms, two lounges on the
men's and women's side, and overlooks the new pool area.
Look for our King Tut Museum, which is coming back better than ever.
Only Luxor could dig up something this magnificent.
